Fort Mountain Horse Campground At this time we do not rent horses. Welcome to Fort Mountain Stables located in beautiful Chatsworth, GA. Water and 30amp power is located at every site.

We have 25 miles of riding trails for your riding enjoyment. Fort Mountain Stables has restrooms and hot showers at the barn. Firewood and shavings is offered for sale at the barn. For your safety and ours, Coggins is required. Dogs are welcomed, however, they must be leashed and cannot go on the trails. We have hitching rails at the barn and at the overlook. To help keep you from getting lost, we offer free trail maps.

The horse trails are open. DAY parking ONLY off of Bunker Hill Road. NO camping. NOT at my place. If you have any questions call the state park. Not me.

Fort Mountain State Park in Chatsworth just re-opened access to their horse trails. A new parking lot and two-mile connector mean that equestrians can explore more than 27 miles of trails. You’ll cross several small streams and take in mountain vistas while riding through one of northern Georgia’s most beautiful parks. Parking is just $5, located off Bunker Hill Road. Special thanks to Chatsworth Ford and the Bronco Wild Fund for making this possible.
