Cindi and I, along with our wonderful staff, wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas and much success in the New Year. We've been blessed with a lot of activity during the season. Our wedding packages continue to be attractive to busy brides, and, our office parties and dinners have brought many folks to the Inn who have never been. The Ironman competition a couple of weeks ago was certainly good for Chattanooga, and, certainly good for the Mayors Mansion Inn. Like other B and B's and hotels, we were booked solid for several days accommodating the participants and their families/friends. We learned a lot about their nutritional needs and did our best to help with the 8-10000 calories often consumed by these athletes during a race. Fans were out in droves cheering on the participants and the consensus from competitors, families, as well as those of us providing services was that the entire week-end was an overwhelming success. Next year promises to be even better. Thanks to all who stayed with us.

We had a great group of cousins stay with us last week. These folks are scattered from the Northeast to Austin, TX to Florida and they get together every other year to catch up on life's latest adventures. They took up two thirds of the Mansion and were an absolute delight to have in the pueblo. I told them I would write about them as "cousins behaving badly"!!! But, truth is, I can't really say that. Cindi, our staff, and I hope to see them next time they get together.

We've had a wonderful few days hosting a group of Corvette owners from Florida. They took over the Mansion (AND the parking lot....OK, AND the front porch AND the Ballroom for an arrival dinner..and for Ballroom Baggo). To the person, they were absolutely delightful people. They took in a lot of local sights and a few of them even drove as far as the Jack Daniels Distillery for a tour and lunch at Miss Mary Bobo's Boarding House. I'm guessing we had around a half million dollar's worth of 'Vettes in our parking lot when all eleven were here (of course, that's cost when they were new!) Check out the pics.

Here at The Mansion, we're all decked out for Summer with our patriotic decor. And while you're staying with us, how about a nice summer drink like our watermelon martini or a Jack w/lemonade? We sometimes even offer our summertime favorite breakfast dessert (yes, we have dessert for breakfast...life's too long not to have dessert!!), our famous Moon-pie banana split with a side of R.C. cola..it's a Southern thang.
