A historic lakeside hotel nestled within the scenic Chautauqua Institution grounds, offering luxurious accommodations, fine dining at the Heirloom Restaurant and serving as a premier conference and wedding venue. Guests of the hotel will be treated to the charms of this Victorian-style hotel, with each of the 152 rooms reflecting unique elements of the past. The Athenaeum also features Heirloom Re

staurant to serve hotel guests and visitors in-season. Throughout Chautauqua Institution’s summer season, Athenaeum Hotel guests are able to take advantage of learning, recreational, and entertainment programs that are part of the of Chautauqua experience. The lecture series, concerts, art programs, and educational opportunities are all included as part of the Chautauqua Institution gate pass, which is necessary for in-season guests. During the spring and fall months, the Athenaeum Hotel is open for to visitors and acts as a host to well-organized conferences, beautiful weddings, and special events.
