We haven't been very vocal lately. This winter has brought a LOT of snow and we have winterized for several weeks!

(We are currently in a vacation rental in Florida and my oldest said, "It's fine, but just average. They don't go above and beyond like you do with Lakewood Cottage, mom.")

We have been quiet here on social media because our family has been BUSY between kids sports & activities, work, baby, and every day life. But ... we're still here!

Lakewood Cottage has quite a few openings for the rest of November, including Thanksgiving if you're looking for a mini getaway!

Fall colors are beginning to peak across the state! The western UP is already seeing vibrant colors, with most other northern Michigan areas following suit soon! Folks further south will need to wait a few more weeks before they see peak color.

Temps are looking great in the low 70s for that week, so it would be an excellent week for exploring Northern Michigan without the hot, sticky temps! Mackinac Island would be perfect!
