Hrabak Funeral Home was founded in 1892 in Chelsea, Iowa by Joseph Hrabak, Sr. It was taken over years later by Joseph Hrabak Jr. In June of 1934, Kenneth Hrabak and his family moved to Belle Plaine, Iowa and established a second funeral home there. The Belle Plaine location underwent renovations in 1935 to transform it from a private residence into a funeral home. The home was again renovated in

the early 1950s to accommodate the needs of the business and the growing Hrabak family. The family lived above the business. One of Kenneth Hrabak’s sons, David, continued the family business, becoming the fourth generation to enter the funeral service profession. He and his wife, Jane, purchased the funeral home in 1985. The Belle Plaine location underwent its most recent transformation with the addition of a chapel in 1995. Both funeral home locations were maintained by David and Jane until the decision was made to close the Chelsea, Iowa location in July, 2003. After the previous house owner and a fire nearly destroyed this beautiful building it sat empty for several years and was attacked by flood as well. When I found her she was black and lifeless, but I could only see her grand beauty! I knew I would have to take this building back to the wonderful gem it was meant to be. That began my love affair with Periwinkle Manor. Named for the antique periwinkle casket that has been on the property since the early 1900's. A work in progress, I acquired the property in Aug of 2013. She will be a fine B&B and Tea Room. Also on the property is a 8 door Coach House where we will hold Murder Mystery Parties, Weddings and much more!

Here it is!!!! Make sure you get your reservation to me!You can either message me or text! So many great activities planned $20per person and this year....I am offering six rooms for anyone that wants to stay overnight For an extra twenty dollars per person, 2 to a room! We will be making some spells for you to take home.. We will have the bonfire in the coffin fire pit , and we will be cooking A witch bonding stew over the fire.. We will be doing our witch chant and of course the witch song .. We will be doing some card reading and bone fortunes.. We may even try to throw in some karaoke and much more! Your witch or warlock attire is required! Don't miss the fourth annual witch gathering at Periwinkle!
