WATCO UNVEILS ITS AMERICA 250th LOCOMOTIVE


CHERRYVALE — Watco today unveiled a commemorative locomotive honoring America’s 250th anniversary.

The patriotic-themed locomotive will operate on the South Kansas & Oklahoma Railroad (SKOL).

4th of 6 ceiling tile square sections completed! Here’s what goes into restoring each tile:

Three coats of primer with binder.
One to two coats of modified Navajo White.
One coat of High Hide Pure White on the tile borders.

With a day between each coat, it takes about 3 weeks for each tile, including scraping old/loose paint off.
