Friendly Reminder: The statewide burn ban is still in effect

Due to increased wildfire risk and continuous dry conditions, the Lincoln County Fire Marshal has enacted a burn ban countywide effective 8:00 am March 31, 2026 until further notice.
This ban follows the ban that was issued Saturday March 28th, 2026 by the North Carolina Forest Service and will now apply to all fires regardless of distance from a structure.

A civil citation may be issued according to the Lincoln County, NC Code of Ordinances.
First offense $50.00
Second offense $100.00
Third offense and each offense after $200.00
