Foliage Map for the BIG Weekend!
Every week I put together a foliage report for Yankee Magazine and attempt to condense my thoughts in a county map. This week especially you have to read the full report to understand this complex situation with the leaves.

The good news is that outside of the far north, the leaves have held up well on lower slopes after the wind. A lot of the early reds have fallen but golds and yellows remain. And even better news is that as the wave of colors slides south, downhill and towards the coast, more reds will come in.

But…especially on upper slopes, the gales have taken their toll on the Upper Green Mountains, the Northern White Mountains, and the Western Maine Highlands.
