Now Hiring for Spring 2026 – Fall 2026: 2 Workamper Couples

North Shore Campground, located on the beautiful north shore of Lake Almanor in Northern California, is seeking two friendly and dependable Workamper couples to join our team for the upcoming camping season.
If you enjoy the outdoors, meeting travelers, and working in a relaxed lakeside environment, this is a great opportunity to spend the season where others vacation.

Compensation:
• Starting pay $17 per hour
• Positions available for two couples
• RV site included with free electricity, Wi-Fi, and laundry

Typical Duties May Include:
• Guest check-in and reservations
• Assisting campers and providing information about the area
• Cleaning cabins, restrooms and campground facilities
• Light maintenance and general campground upkeep
• Helping keep campsites and common areas clean and welcoming
Ideal Candidates:
• Workamper couples with RV preferred
• Friendly, reliable, and team-oriented
• Comfortable working outdoors
• Good customer service and communication skills
• Able to assist with a variety of campground duties

North Shore Campground sits along the scenic shores of Lake Almanor, surrounded by forests, mountains, and endless outdoor recreation opportunities including fishing, boating, hiking, and exploring nearby Lassen National Forest.

Snowstorm Recap

Winter finally made an appearance in the Lake Almanor basin over the past several days. Persistent light to moderate snowfall over a four day period deposited a total of two feet of snow on the west shore area, with considerably heavier amounts at higher elevations. The snow was relatively dry (making it easier to shovel or blow) due to some cold temperatures. This (Friday) morning, for example, the low temperature at Chester airport was a bone chilling two degrees (2°) F.

Uncomfortable Anniversary …
Today, July 13, is the 4th anniversary of the start of the Dixie Fire. It began as a small blaze in the Feather River canyon but grew into a destructive monster. The towns of Greenville and Canyon Dam were lost along with other structures, thousands were evacuated, and nearly a million acres of land was burned before the fire was officially declared contained in late October. We’re back in that dangerous time of year again, when vegetation is dry and easily ignited. Time to remind ourselves to be extra careful with anything that produces flame, sparks or high heat.
