Update on Jenny for everyone asking what happened. Great and exciting news at the end of this post. I had to run Jenny into the ER in Rice Lake on Tuesday night at 10pm. For stomach pain and lots of red skin color sround the wound vac and incision area, with hot temp feeling to the hand. They did some stuff there and determined she needed to be transfered to Marshfield, WI main marshfield hospital for possible infection surgery. We packed up, large thank you to the anonymous seasonal to watch Jerome and Oreo and send Jerome to the school bus. Went to Marshfield, got transfered in a room got some blood tests, scans, ultrasounds, then sat around all day long waiting for the surgeon to finish his scheduled surgery on someone. Checked her out and was able to give Jenny the thumbs up to leave. There was a start of an infection but with the quick decisions made by Jenny, the on call nurse the awesome work they did cleaning her up and letting some air do some healing her initial infection fluid went away and cleared up. We got home last night at about 830pm with only a few hours of on n off sleep in a hospital chair.
Today at 830am we had to be in Rice Lake for a meeting with the Cancer Dr. to determine if Jen starts Chemo again or if its put off for another week. With the testing and discussion it was decided to start the full chemo treatment back up again. So here we are spending another long day at the hospital but should be out by 5pm. Talking with the Dr. he loves what he sees in the testing, one special test came back that her cancer cells are almost gone. He did say with this kind of ovarian cancer its a hit or miss but it is one of the most accurate tests for all other normal cancers. The last ct scan has shown her cancer around the heart has decreased and in a good direction. Hoping these next 3 rounds of Chemo will deplete the cancer as low as possibly can go. Got approved for the lifelong Chemo pill to help keep the cancer cells at bay for as long as possible.
A good smiley picture, then a fighter Jenny mode!
