approached Right Worshipful Brother Dwyane Smith, then Grand Junior Warden of the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Illinois about establishing a new subordinate lodge. Right Worshipful Brother Smith agreed to help Brother Dunson establish a subordinate lodge and informed Brother Dunson of the requirements needed to do so. Brother Dunson was a member of a clandestine lodge at that time na

med Eureka under Job Grand Lodge. Several months after speaking with Right Worshipful Brother Smith, Brother Dunson approached the members of Eureka Lodge and offered them the opportunity to join a regularly constituted lodge of masons. The members of Eureka decided to join him on this new masonic journey. On September 1, 2007 at the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Illinois, Ronnie R. Dunson Jr., Kali Carter, Kendall Nolan, Cormac Henderson, Fred Andrews, Richard Bufford, Samuel Lampkin, Tyrone Miller, Michael Echols. Kevin Artis, Darren Richardson, and Daryl Banks were all made regular masons and Eternal Light Lodge was officially placed under dispensation through the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of the State of Illinois. One year later on October 4, 2008 Eternal Light #156 was chartered. Kali Carter as the first Senior Warden and Bro. Kendal Nolan as the first Junior Warden.
