Another great week at Oak Shores! ❤️

One of our favorite things about summer is watching guests arrive as different families…and by the end of the week, it feels like everyone knows everyone. 😊

The kids find new buddies, the adults make new friends, and before you know it, everyone is swimming, laughing and enjoying vacation together.

We had such a fun group last week, and we loved seeing all the new friendships form.

These are the weeks that make Oak Shores feel like so much more than just a place to stay. 🌳☀️💦

🎂 70 Years Young — and 67 Years of Chippewa Flowage Memories! ❤️

Yesterday we got to help celebrate a very special birthday at Oak Shores!

Celia turned 70, and her love for the Chippewa Flowage goes way back — she has been vacationing here since she was just 3 years old! 🥹

Her daughter, Cedar, made a wonderful birthday dinner and cake, and her cousin Sylvia and Sylvia’s daughter Kristine made the whole week extra special with little surprises and celebrations along the way.

There’s just something pretty amazing about looking at that little girl sitting by the lake all those years ago and knowing that so many years later, the Chippewa Flowage is still part of her story. ❤️

Happy 70th Birthday, Celia! 🎉 We feel pretty lucky that Oak Shores got to be a little part of this milestone birthday and all the memories made this week.

Here’s to many more trips to the Flowage!

We found this little rock tower at Oak Shores, built by one of our guests. Whether it symbolizes peace, hope, or simply a fun vacation memory, it sure made us smile. 💙

Any guesses on how long it took to build this?

This is what vacation is for—slowing down and doing something just because it's fun. 😊

Some wonderful guests left some cookie dough for us today... so naturally, our awesome cleaning staff got fresh-baked cookies! 😋
