Come see us! We’d love to have you!

At Kymulga Grist Mill Park in Alabama, you can explore a Civil War era grist mill and covered bridge, with plenty of history to go along and plenty more to do and see in the surrounding park! You’ll step inside an 1864 working mill that still grinds cornmeal with its original millstones, then walk across the 105-foot 1861 covered bridge that once linked travelers to the Old Georgia Road. Both landmarks survived the war, were restored in the 1970s, and are now protected on the National Register. Today you can tour the mill, browse the small shop, and follow nature trails past Talladega Creek. This little spot in Talladega County offers one of the best combinations of scenery and history you'll find across AL!

The pawpaw trees are growing fruit! Did you know that we have hundreds of pawpaw trees at the Kymulga Grist Mill? The fruit will ripen around the end of August and they taste like a cross between a banana and a mango (or strawberry, I’ve heard both).

We thoroughly enjoyed hosting this awesome group of kids today!
