When the storm washed away our lawnmowers, instead of replacing the equipment, we got GOATS! Honestly, one of my favorite decisions! They are the cutest w**d eaters ever made!
If you’d like to see these little cuties, they’ll be at our Pre-Opening celebration Saturday, June 13!
They’ll also be around on & off throughout our camping season!

It was so exciting to have campers here this weekend! The physical help & monetary donations are appreciated so much! Many have reached out to see if they could come another weekend, so we’ve decided YES, PLEASE!!
We’d like to extend the donation camping to anyone who would like to come anytime from Monday, June 8th through the end of June! Working is not required. Any and all donations will be welcome. If you’d like to come lend a hand, or just set up camp, please send an email to [email protected]
and put “donation camping” in the subject line & let us know what days you’d like to come. We are not able to accommodate RVs, but tents & vans are welcome.
We still plan to officially begin online reservations & opening mid July!

Our FIRST camper since Hurricane Helene!! 🏕️❤️
We’re so excited to welcome back Kimberly Wier Ruel!! She’s been a loyal camper since Grandmama & Granddaddy were here! She’s been camping here since before I was born! We’re so glad that she’s the first! Plus, her favorite site is still here! Formerly known as site 46, she now has site 16 looking cozy & ready for a great night camping!

Would you like to come camping?? 🏕️
We’re not quite ready to officially open, but 20 months with no revenue is brutal on a business. To help us start back up, we’d like to offer you a campsite for a donation. We’ll gladly accept monetary donations as well as site clean up. Bring a rake, gloves, chainsaw or whatever you’d like.
We cannot accommodate RVs, but tents, hammocks, vans, etc are welcome. We have sites with power & water, some with just water, and also primitive sites. We still have our small bathhouse.

If you’re busy this weekend, we’ll try to do this again next weekend!

We’re getting closer & closer everyday!! We were so fortunate to have the guys from Orrum Baptist Church come the other week to help us build sites. It’s amazing how much can be accomplished with big machines & skilled operators. They also built us some walls for our temporary office. You can always be sure that God’s people will come through when there’s work needed to be done. This group was such a blessing to us. ❤️
If you’re ever near Orrum, NC on a Sunday, stop in for church. They have some great people there!!

❤️ Love grows here ❤️
He came to the campground in September 2023 to visit friends and met this incredible young woman that we all know & love. Earlier this week, he proposed to her at the campground on top of her favorite rock in the woods.
We are so excited for Zoe & Kessler and look forward to watching their lives continue to bloom in love. ❤️
