Dear Friends of Broad River Inn,
As the anniversary of Hurricane Helene approaches on September 27th, our hearts are full.
This past year has been one of the hardest and most humbling we've faced. The storm not only changed the Inn, but the rhythm of our lives, our community, and the space we once shared so easily with all of you.
We know many of you have reached out, visited, checked in, or simply kept us in your thoughts. Please know how deeply we've felt that love and support. It has meant more than words can say.
Rebuilding after Helene has not been fast or easy. The road has been long, and we still have quite a way to go, but we are making steady and hopeful progress. We're happy to share that the foundation is now nearly complete. With that milestone behind us, we are beginning to focus on interior projects. Utilities will be installed, walls will go up again, rooms will slowly take shape, and little by little, the spirit of Broad River Inn will return.
There have been quiet moments of joy as well. We have celebrated small victories, shared smiles, and deep breaths of mountain air that remind us why we are doing this. Why we have to do this.
Because this place is more than a building. It holds memories made over coffee on the porch, laughter echoing through the halls, peaceful mornings by the river, and evenings filled with stories. It is the kind of place that leaves a mark on your heart. And we cannot wait to welcome you back when the time is right.
Until then, please know that we are thinking of each of you. We carry your kindness with us every day as we rebuild. We are not only restoring the Inn but also reviving the comfort, experience, and connection that make Broad River Inn feel like home.
