The Inn had a fantastic season! lots of fabulous guests, lots of great breakfasts, and lots of memories! But we're not closed, still open for B&B guests through the winter. Come on down for the Xmas parade and Holiday Homes tour December 6! You will have a front row seat for the parade on our wrap around porch, or if you choose to stay in the Main View suite, a view from the private balcony!

The Inn is also available for Thanksgiving. Book the whole house and have a Victorian themed Thanksgiving dinner! Minimum stay is 3 nights, $200 a night. Celebrate in style!

The Inn was part of the Chincoteague Holiday Homes tour on December 7. We all had a lot of fun even though it was bitterly cold outside. Tour guests learned some of the Inn's history, were able to view the dining room transformed into a Victorian Christmas dinner celebration (table design was by my neighbor Kristin Lyle), tour the rest of the house, and sample some holiday treats, Almond Coconut Macaroon Cookies and Chocolate Peppermint Truffles. A good time was had by all!

Oct. 12 is also the date for the 51st Annual Chincoteague Oyster Festival!! If you love oysters, Chincoteague has the best around! And the Chincoteague Oyster Festival has them all—raw, steamed, frittered, and single fried. There are also clam fritters, clam chowder, shrimp cocktail, salad bar, hot dogs, hushpuppies, and Boardwalk fries. Besides the main breakfast dishes, on offer is also a selection of muffins like chocolate chocolate chip, blueberry, peanut butter and jelly, and coffee cakes like marzipan coffee cake, lemon pound cake coffee cake with a fabulous lemon icing!!, and what's pictured below, a piece of coconut streusel coffee cake. It's made extra special with a layer of coconut streusel topping in the middle of the cake as well as on top!!

A sweet breakfast option that has been another hit is the Dutch Baby Pancake. This one is filled with sauteed apples and caramel sauce, but they can be filled with anything - jam, fresh fruit and whipped cream, peanut butter and jelly. Or you can have savory ones filled with smoked salmon, cream cheese, and capers, or sausage and/or bacon! Whatever suits your fancy!
