It is with a heavy heart that we share this news—our dear friend Pam Hallin has passed away.

Pam and Dick have been part of the OCC seasonal family for so many years that it’s hard to remember a time when they weren’t here. As this picture perfectly shows, those two were always the first ones pulling in every season…even in a snowstorm! While the rest of us were still debating whether it was warm enough to put the camper out, Pam and Dick were already parked, smiling, and ready to go.

She loved camping, she loved her family (her boys and grandkids have been seasonals too—clearly the love of this place runs in the blood), and she lived life at full throttle with that big beautiful smile and infectious laugh that could light up the whole campground.

Pam, we’re going to miss you something fierce. The place just won’t be the same without your energy and that laugh echoing through the trees. But I have a feeling you’re already up there organizing the best campsite in heaven—prime spot, firepit roaring, cold drinks ready, and probably yelling at the angels, “Quit standing around and have some fun already!”

Rest easy, sweet Pam. You were one of a kind and left us with a lifetime of memories. ❤️

Our thoughts and prayers are with Dick, the boys, and all the grandkids during this difficult time.
