Stepping back in time. Muskox ✅ Thanks to friends and family that helped make this happen! The warm and friendly Cup’ik people of Mekoryuk are the consummate hosts and keepers of these lands. It was a pleasure to see so many involved in the hunting industry that provides economic opportunity for professions like guides, transporters, packers, skinners, lodging, snow machine rentals, flight services etc. As a native business owner myself I’m proud of how this community comes together to share their culture and traditions with others! 🚨 ACTION NEEDED 🚨 The Board of Fisheries is considering five proposals to RESTRICT or BAN Alaskans’ personal use (dipnetting) and subsistence fisheries rights. If passed, Alaskan residents could no longer hire a guided charter to participate in these fisheries, would be subject to new reporting requirements, as well as creating a statewide finfish bag LIMIT.
