We also offer Custom Embroidery, Custom Clocks and Signs. We make it your way! Also Canoe and Kayak Rentals for the Spring and Summer.

As of May 1st, 2023 Chunky River Recreation will be closed until further notice. This is due to the acquisition of additional Right-of-way by MDOT for future construction / bridge replacement. Chunky River Recreation will have to close to relocate our utilities and roads. A Special Thanks to everyone that has supported us and enjoyed the area here. Who knows what the future may bring, our Faith tells us that “The Best is Yet to Come”.

CALLING ALL COUGAR FANS

Our FOOTBALL BOYS will be traveling to Poplarville Friday for round 2 playoffs💙💙

These boys have trained year round for this moment… ✔️✔️a lot of sweat, defeats, uprises, dedication, and heart ❤️. Maybe even a few tears have been put into this sport they love.

NOW COUGAR FANS ITS OUR TURN TO SHOW OUT LOVE AND SUPPORT OUR BOYS

Buses will pull out at 1:00. I am asking that every cougar fan old, new, and all in between. WE NEED YOU!!!!! We are going to meet at the overpass at the Chunky Exit around 1pm. Bring Painted signs, Balloons, noise makers. Let’s show up and show Newton County Football Team just how much we love and support them.

If you think that it doesn’t get them hyped or they don’t appreciate it let me tell you coming from a mom of a player,,,they do get hype and they do appreciate it so let’s show up for these boys!!!!!

We have had several request lately about ideas on a 1894 MS flag cap. Here is a little something we put together, if interested they will be $12.50 plus tax. I should have a few completed in a week or so, colors and styles will vary. The one’s pictured here was extra caps on hand. Will have both structured and unstructured available.

Some followers may not be aware that we do custom embroidery here at Chunky River Recreation. I posted a couple different caps on other pages early today which sparked a lot of interest. We have provided custom logo embroidery services for several years. The point of interest today is the Hickory High School Caps, $15.00 each, (12 or more starts price break). There were questions about shirts. We do not stock shirts due to such a large variety of styles, colors and sizes, however, we can embroidery this logo for $10.00 per logo on most shirts or jackets that you provide. I will post other examples in the comment section. Call the Trading Post at 601-480-3045 for information.
