Join Indiana DNR for a basic fishing workshop on Sat., June 6 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. ET at White River Campground. Fishing is a great activity that doesn’t take much to get started and can help you put wild game on the table and enjoy the outdoors in new ways!
This adults-oriented (16+) workshop will cover basic sunfish biology, fishing tips, gear selection, safety, regulations, and even ways to take your harvest from field to fork (or from the pond to plate, that is)! The class will consist of a 30 to 45-minute lecture followed by hands-on activities to help solidify your basic fishing knowledge and practice skills you may use in the field. Participants can expect a small amount of walking (up to one mile). Clothes and shoes you don’t mind getting a little bit wet are recommended.
