📣 Public Health Week Spotlight: Board of Health Leadership
During Public Health Week, Pickaway County Public Health is proud to recognize the leadership and dedication of our Board of Health President, Colin Hedges.
Colin has served on the Board for six years, bringing a deep commitment to the health and well-being of the Pickaway County community.
💬 Colin’s Vision for a Stronger, Healthier Pickaway County:
“A stronger, healthier Pickaway County means people have what they need to actually thrive — not just get by. That’s access to mental health support, preventive care, and resources that reach people before things reach a crisis point.
Having been part of this community my whole life, I’ve seen how much public health impacts everything — our workforce, our schools, and our neighborhoods. In my six years on this board, I’ve seen our team do incredible work handling some really tough situations. But if we can get ahead of those situations before they become a crisis, that’s where we can make an even bigger difference.”
Colin’s leadership reflects a forward-thinking approach—focusing not only on response, but on prevention, equity, and long-term impact.
We are incredibly grateful for his service, his vision, and his continued commitment to improving the health of Pickaway County. 💙
