Summer at Tara is all about making the most of long, sunny days. Take a dip in our refreshing outdoor pool, head down the path to the Shenango River Reservoir, or launch your boat for a day on the water. With everything you need right on-site, you really can settle in and enjoy!

For those staying July 3rd through 5th, you’ll have an America250 gift bag in your guest room! And there are plenty of celebrations nearby:

Celebrate America's 250th Birthday at the historic Mercer Courthouse Square (about 10 minutes away from Tara) with patriotic music from the Mercer Community Band, fireworks, a festive street reception, the annual Mercer Borough Patriotic Parade, historical reenactments, and an old-fashioned ice cream social. Events take place on both July 3rd and 4th in Mercer.

Or head to Westminster College on July 3rd at Brittain Lake (less than 25 minutes away), for an evening celebration at 7:30 pm. There will be music by the River City Brass Band and a festive fireworks show.
