Our Bigfoot Trackers Were On The Case!

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Little Bennett Campground's famous Bigfoot sighting, campers set out on a Bigfoot Tracking Hike through the woods in search of clues.

Along the trail, they discovered signs that Bigfoot may have been nearby, including scratch marks on trees, mysterious fur, stick structures, rock piles, footprints, and other evidence left behind in the forest.

At each clue location, trackers put their observation skills to the test and searched for a hidden mini Bigfoot to take home as a souvenir of their adventure.

Thank you to all of our campers and families who joined us for this fun and legendary weekend. We hope you'll keep your eyes peeled... because you never know when Bigfoot might return to Little Bennett Campground!

👣🌲 Let's Play Find the Bigfoot! 🌲👣

This year marks the 30th anniversary of Little Bennett Campground's legendary Bigfoot sighting, and we celebrated by hiding mini Bigfoots along the trail!

Can you spot the hidden Bigfoot in each photo before swiping to the close-up reveal?

These tiny Sasquatches were hidden along our Bigfoot Tracking Hike route, waiting to be discovered by sharp-eyed trackers.

Thanks for helping us celebrate 30 years of Bigfoot lore at Little Bennett Campground. Happy hunting!

On This Day in Little Bennett Campground History… 👣

On July 31, 1996, two campers reported a Bigfoot sighting right here at Little Bennett Campground — a story that still lives on today through a report archived by the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization (BFRO).

According to the report, the mysterious visitor was spotted near the campground in the early evening… tall, hairy, and apparently snacking on leaves

What do we know for sure?
• Little Bennett has a lot of trees
• Wildlife is active at dusk
• Campfire stories tend to be very memorable

Whether you believe, remain skeptical, or just enjoy a good campground legend, Bigfoot has officially earned a place in Little Bennett folklore.

👀 Have you ever experienced something unexpected while camping here?
We won't judge...we know nature keeps things interesting.

Help Us Create a Handprint Flag for America's 250th Anniversary!

To celebrate Independence Day, we've started a special Handprint American Flag Mural outside the Camp Store—and we want our campers, families, and visitors to be part of it!

Throughout July, everyone is invited to add a handprint to the flag, creating a lasting reminder of the friendships, memories, and connections that make our campground community so special.

As we celebrate our nation's milestone anniversary, we're also celebrating the people who make this place feel like home.

If you'd like to add your handprint, simply stop by the Front Desk and let a staff member know.

❤️🤍💙 Let's fill this flag with the hands and hearts of our campground community all month long!

One flag. One campground. Many hands.

🏕️ You Know He’s a Camping Dad When…

He gets enough firewood to survive a mild apocalypse — “just in case.”

He gives a full TED Talk on “proper stacking technique” for the fire.

He blames the tent manufacturer — “They definitely left out a pole.”

He refuses to admit it’s raining — “That’s not rain… that’s just aggressive dew.”

He treats the cooler like a sacred artifact — “Close it fast, we’re losing cold air.”

He tells the same three dad jokes every trip — “in tents,” anyone?

He judges everyone else’s marshmallow‑roasting technique — “Too close to the flame… rookie mistake.”

📣 What would you add to the list?
