Folks, just a little update about this weekend's activities in and around Hotel Eklund. Our restaurant will be open, as usual, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights from 5 to 9 PM, Mountain time.

Saturday night is Viva NM, and it is located on Main Street, and tickets to get onto Viva on Main Street are $20, and they will be checking for wristbands in order to get into the venue. Do the right thing and buy a ticket if you want to get onto Main Street.

However, our restaurant is open, and you may reserve a dinner table and eat in our saloon or Partio area. We have really worked hard on making this season our most beautiful in downtown Clayton!

We will limit Partio seating to reservation only, and only for our guests who will be eating dinner, not just drinks. We will limit seating times to 1-1/2 hours outside to allow for as many folks as possible to eat outside in our lovely garden. And as a reminder, our beer and wine license permits a maximum of 3 alcoholic drinks per legal age dinner guest with the proper horizontal ID. And like other good businesses, we do reserve the right to refuse service.

We are sorry to learn so late, but sometimes life gets in the way of the best of plans. Jim Tate will not be here tonight, and sends his regrets. But the restaurant will be open for dinner starting at 5pm, so please reserve your table for dinner.

Update as of 7/10/26: Jim has rescheduled his visit to July 31, 2026, transmission willing!

We're looking for high school students 16 years and older who need a summer job for only 3 evenings a week, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights from 4:00-9:30pm in our restaurant as a busser/runner. Characteristics we are looking for are:

Motivation-shows initiative and drive
Enthusiasm-excited about the job
Teachable-able to take direction, willing to learn new things
Team Player-works well with others
Punctual-On time to work
Neat/clean cut-You will represent Hotel Eklund in our restaurant
