Check out these chain reactions! Our Adventure Lab students collaborated as a team to build a Rube Goldberg machine, or more popularly known as the comically complex chain reaction creation.

From the planning stage to the final chain reaction, they worked hard using their knowledge of simple machines to build this complex creation. ⚙️

Our Acton Academy students partnered with the Adventure Lab to perform improv at Imposters Theatre! They learned the fine art of improv and how it enhances skills like public speaking, flexibility, and thinking on the fly! Along with speaking to a packed house, these students created hilarious scenes based on suggestions from the audience.

Acton Academy joined us in the Adventure Lab for our Survival Challenge! Students learned about water purification, how to start a fire, emergency first aid, and had to put their heads together to try and survive a simulated plane crash.

This month we are ready to grow our experiences and learning opportunities that can set you up for success 🙌 We are also ready to show our stuff at our STEM and Career camps at the lab. Andrea and Sha’Ray are Student Associates from St. Martin de Porres High School and they have been supporting the Adventure Lab for the last few months! Their hard work, dedication, and willingness to learn has been a huge asset for the Lab and its students. 🧪

Today they gave their final presentation, featuring their biggest take aways, challenges and how they were overcome, and creative poems describing their time in the Lab. Thank you for all your hard work this semester Andrea and Sha'Ray!

Urban Community School is at the Adventure Lab this morning participating in our wood working program! After first learning about tool safety and technical skills, these students got to work cutting, sanding and assembling their very own bluebird houses. 🐦🏠
