🌿 Sunday Scripture 🌿

We had a pretty special visitor near the fire pit this week - a beautiful white squirrel! 🤍🐿️ And somehow, Romans 12:2 seemed like the perfect verse to go with him.

“Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think…” - Romans 12:2

A sweet reminder that we weren’t created simply to blend in. God is continually working in us, renewing our hearts and minds and helping us become who He created us to be.

Sometimes even the smallest surprises in nature can give us a reason to stop, smile, and reflect. 🌲❤️

What a beautiful feature about our little corner of the mountains! It’s always special to see Solitude Pointe through someone else’s eyes, and we’re so grateful for the lovely words written about the place we’re fortunate enough to call home.

There is such comfort in remembering that whatever the week ahead may hold, we don’t face it alone.

When we keep our hearts turned toward God, we can find peace in His presence and strength in knowing He is right beside us. ❤️

🍎 A FAVORITE FALL ADVENTURE NEAR SOLITUDE POINTE! 🍂

One of our favorite places to send guests for a little fall fun is Jeter Mountain Farm! Just a beautiful drive over the mountain, it’s close enough for an easy outing—but definitely an experience you won’t soon forget.

Pick your own apples, soak up those gorgeous mountain views, enjoy all the sights and flavors of the season… and whatever you do, do NOT leave without an apple cider doughnut. 😍🍩

Seriously. Get the doughnuts.

A day at Jeter Mountain Farm followed by a cozy evening back at Solitude Pointe? That sounds like a pretty perfect fall day to us. 💚🏕️

There’s something about standing beneath a sky this big that quiets everything else. 💙

The views alone are worth the trip. 😍 Stretching across the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, the overlook at Sassafras Mountain is one of those places that makes you stop for a minute and simply take it all in.

And here’s something extra fun - you can stand with one foot in South Carolina and one foot in North Carolina! 👣

The observation tower is handicap accessible, making this a wonderful outing for visitors of all ages and abilities. Pack a picnic, bring your camera, take in those mountain views, and enjoy an easy adventure while you’re staying with us.

Sometimes the best part of getting away is discovering what’s just down the road. 💚

If you grew up listening to Amy Grant, there’s a pretty good chance you didn’t just read this verse… you sang it. 🎶❤️

“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”
— Psalm 119:105

There’s something especially beautiful about this reminder when paired with a quiet path through the woods.

We don’t always get to see where the road ahead is going. We don’t always know what’s around the next bend. But God never asks us to figure out the entire journey at once.

He gives us enough light for the step we’re taking today. 🌲☀️
