It is no secret that Kevin DeOliveira loves science fiction. And TED Talks. Inspired by Heather Barnett's talk from a few years ago, "What humans can learn from semi-intelligent slime," he spent the past couple days creating this dark and evocative abstract animation. A swift personal work between commercial projects. While the enigmatic subject matter appears to have been born of the imagination for a sci-fi film, it isn't fiction at all. I could not be more proud of this piece; it oozes Kevin's passion and has stirred great intrigue in me - arguably the least “sciencey” guy on planet earth.
