Horseshoe Trails Camping Resort Horseshoe Trails is a private ownership camping resort found within Mountain Lakes Resort. This beautiful campground is the best kept secret in NE Georgia.

We have FHU campsites, cabin rentals, tent sites w/WiFi. Trial Visits are available. This nationally acclaimed "destination" retreat is surrounded by the 750,000-acre Chattahoochee National Forest. All our lighted sites are full hook-up sites with concrete pads. Each site has a deck, table and barbeque grill. Laundry facilities and wireless internet services are available for your convenience. The

re are 11 Cabin Rentals, and Tent Sites available, as well. The Mountain Lakes area is also prized for its collection of rare wildflowers and more than 150 species of birds frequent the area. There are streams famous for their native brown and brook trout. Lake Qualatchee, on the property, is stocked with Bass, Bream, and Crappie for avid fishermen. Activities inside the resort include theme weekends, nature trails for hiking, bingo, horseshoes, swimming, waterslide, putt-putt, playground, horseback riding, fishing and many other opportunities in the surrounding area. There is something for every one of all ages to enjoy. The scenery alone is worth the visit!

HEAVY RAIN, GUSTY WINDS & LIMITED SEVERE WEATHER THREAT

White County is not currently included in a Flood Watch. However, the remnants of Tropical Storm Arthur will bring periods of moderate to heavy rain, gusty winds, and a limited severe weather threat through Friday.

Rainfall totals of 1 to 3 inches are expected across much of Northeast Georgia, with locally higher amounts possible. While widespread flooding is not anticipated, localized flooding may occur in poor drainage areas, low-water crossings, and near creeks or small streams.

A Marginal Risk (Level 1 of 5) for severe weather remains in place through tonight. The primary threats include:

⚠️ Isolated damaging wind gusts
⚠️ A brief tornado
⚠️ Downed trees and power lines
⚠️ Scattered power outages
⚠️ Hazardous travel during heavy rainfall

Residents should continue monitoring forecast, use caution while traveling, and have multiple ways to receive weather warnings (especially overnight). Never attempt to drive across a flooded roadway.

White County Emergency Management will continue monitoring conditions and provide additional updates as needed.
