Cold Brook County Park

Cold Brook County Park Cold Brook was acquired by Kalamazoo County in 1962 and is a popular place to camp or visit the beach.

Cold Brook has 276 acres consisting primarily of water in the form of three lakes and unique wetlands. The highlands enjoyed by park visitors encompasses about 110 acres. Cold Brook features a campground with 29 improved sites and 14 rustic sites. Other activities include a swimming beach, boat ramp, picnic shelters, playgrounds, disc golf course, fishing, and hiking.

It's Free Fishing Weekend on Saturday & Sunday, February 15 and 16 so head on out to a County Park this weekend and see what you catch! Ice fishing is permitted at Cold Brook County Park, Markin Glen County Park, and Prairie View County Park. County Park Entrance fees still apply!

All fishing license fees will be waived for the two days. Residents and out-of-state visitors may enjoy fishing on both inland and Great Lakes waters for all species of fish. NOW HIRING: Join us in creating safe, welcoming, and vibrant park spaces for everyone to enjoy in Kalamazoo County this summer! We're on the lookout for 40 new team members to join us, including Grounds Maintenance Crew and Customer Service representatives.
As a Grounds Maintenance Crew member, you'll enjoy Monday to Friday shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, ensuring our parks are pristine and well-kept for visitors. If you're passionate about maintaining outdoor spaces and tackling hands-on tasks, this role is perfect for you.
If customer interactions and creating memorable experiences are your forte, our Customer Service positions are calling your name. With shifts available in the evenings, weekdays, weekends, and holidays, there's flexibility to suit your schedule and maximize your impact.
Requirements for both roles include committing to 20-40 hours per week, holding a high school diploma or GED certification, being 18 years or older, and possessing a valid Michigan driver's license.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!!!
Kalamazoo County Parks has exciting news! We have purchased new baskets for the disc golf course! We are also going to begin replacing tees and making other needed repairs and improvements.
