The new owners are going to be running the campground again this summer and wanted to be sure you knew about their early-bird discount – here’s the message they asked us to pass along...

We hope your new year is off to a great start! As you begin planning your 2025 adventures, we would love to welcome you to Ekstroms’ Campground this summer (sadly the restaurant will remain closed pending renovations 😕).

Reservations will open on January 15th, with an early-bird online discount of 15% off (two nights or more) until March 1st through the following link:

"ANNOUNCEMENT: CAMPGROUND WILL BE OPEN IN 2024 - the new owners have just learned from the county that they WILL be able to run the campground this summer - and possibly next - so give them a call at the Ekstrom's number (406-825-3182) if you'd like to make a reservation. They have agreed to have this page be a place to preserve our folks' memories moving forward and will just be using and updating the website (ekstromstagestation.com) to communicate about the property's current status."

Ekstrom's Stage Station is Rock Creek's original restaurant and campground resort, proudly serving the greater Missoula area since 1974.

For the last 50 years it was an honor to serve homemade meals and have many generations of families come through our doors. Our parents have decided to retire and move on to their next chapter. We are very proud of them to have run such a successful business and keeping our grandparents Jim and Doris Ekstrom’s legacy alive. We are thankful for all the generosity and support that our customers have provided. We would like to take this time to introduce the new owners.

A Missoula family, who has been visiting the Stage Station since the 1970's, has purchased the property. They are grateful to the Ekstrom and Steinberg families for creating and stewarding such a special place, and they look forward to caring for the land into the future. Because of significant changes to codes and regulations over the past 50 years, the property will be closed for renovations for the foreseeable future. The new owners plan to reopen the restaurant in some form and to transition the campground to a tiny house village.

We will be keeping this page open and will update with more information as we receive it from the new owners.

Just out of the oven blueberry/orange muffins! Yummy and delicious Chocolate huckleberry cupcakes!! We are open 7 days a week 10am til 6pm for bakery and camping needs coffee is always on and we also would like you to enjoy some complimentary popcorn…see you soon!!
