Cloudcroft NM Campgrounds Outdoor Recreation Hospitality LLC operates these Campgrounds under a Special Use Permit from the National Forest. the Forest is rich in wild game.

Camping facilities are located within a four mile radius of the village of Cloudcroft and are accessible by highways 82,130,244,they provide family camping,group camping,hiking trails,biking trails and picnic areas. the cloudcroft area has exceptional roads just perfect for motorcycle enthusiasts, theres an 18 hole golf course,tennis court ,Birdwatching,Historic museum & pioneer village,just south of Cloudcroft lie the National solar observatory & Apache point with visitor center /gift shop.Horse back riding,Cloudcroft village shopping. Opening Dates will be as follows:
A.Silver campgrd and Silver Overflow April 26,2013
B. Apache, Saddle, Pines, Deerhead and Sleepygrass Campgrds open May 17.2013
C.The following group areas open May 17,2012 Aspen,Blackbear,Slide,
Upper FIR and Lower FIR,

Deerhead Campground is open as first-come, first-served only! Last night to camp is October 10th. Tents and small trailers only, 25' maximum length.

All reservations are closed.

Deerhead and Pines campgrounds are still open to reserve Recreation.gov through 9/26. They both offer first-come first-served campsites in addition to reservations. Pines closes on 9/27.
Deerhead will remain open 9/27 through 10/10 as first-come first-served only and closes on 10/11 for the season.

Just a reminder we have only 2 more weekends left to camp at these campgrounds: Apache, Saddle, Silver, Silver Overflow, and Sleepy Grass. Also, Aspen and Black Bear Group campgrounds close after the Labor Day weekend on 9/7 by noon for the 2026 season.

Remaining open: Pines campground, Upper Fir, Lower Fir and Slide Groups. These campgrounds will close by noon on 9/27 for the 2026 season. ALL RESERVATIONS and first-come, first-served last night to camp is on 9/26. Recreation.gov

Deerhead will also remain open through 9/26 for reservations and first-come, first-served. On 9/27 Deerhead will offer only first-come, first-served sites closing by noon on 10/11 for the 2026 season. U.S. Forest Service - Lincoln National Forest
