When I don't have to be in the kitchen fixin' breakfast for wonderful people I love to start my day on the porch. From this viewpoint you'd never know there's a 4 lane highway out front or a car wash next door. Just me, a bullfrog and some songbirds! It's a beautiful thing.

My second favorite color is brown, I know, weird. But nature is full of brown things. And while this gorgeous Magnolia blossom started out on my dining room table in all its glorious white, it slowly turned this beautiful shade of brown. I've enjoyed taking these pictures and even using the stage light filter on my phone for added mood. I hope you enjoy them.

The only thing better than carmelized French toast with mixed berries is when the blackberries and blueberries were hand picked in the garden before breakfast. Earlier this week I was in the yard when I heard a big splash in the goldfish pond. I looked up as this guy landed on the fence. I guess if you're a very large bird you need a very large birdbath. My goldfish were a little uneasy about the whole thing, but they're all accounted for, so I guess it was just a good thing to do on a hot day from a birds point of view.

Thank you for looking at my home/business
I have lived here for 20 years now and operated Magnolia House and Gardens B&B and Event Venue since 2015. Greatest job ever! No commute! And the people you meet and friendships you make are so fulfilling.
While this is basically a part time job, with a little effort it could be a major income producer.
The house was built in 1890, and remained in the Sifford family until I bought it in 2006. It needed a lot of TLC! The decor is part antiques, part nature. As a professional arborist and lifetime nature lover, bits of nature are sprinkled throughout the whole house. The gardens have been a 20 year project, and there's so much more that can be done with the 2.5 acres I consider a jewel in the middle of town. When you look out the windows upstairs, it's like you're in a treehouse. All you see is trees, which is great considering a 4 lane highway is just feet from the front door.
As a business owner I strive to treat my customers the way I would like to be treated. I welcome perfect strangers as if they are family and some who've returned feel like they are family.
I am willing to help the new owners transition into their roles as needed. I am not moving away, just out to the countryside. So, I can show you the tricks I've learned to reduce the trips up and down the stairs, share all my recipes for breakfasts, advise on garden plants and projects and even teach you how to make biscuits, which any good Southern b&b must have.
Each guest room has at least 4 sets of sheets, and 3 coordinated covers (bedspreads , duvets, or quilts). Robes and towels are also in each room.
Fully furnished, this business is ready to be handed off and ready to roll.
