The DRCA extends Happy New Year wishes. We convened at the Coda Gallery on El Paseo for our December meeting. In support of the Spark of Love toy drive, sponsored by the local fire department, each attendee brought a toy donation. We appreciate the support of Areli Beltran, Director, and the Coda Gallery for hosting the meeting.

The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway hosted a wonderful gathering for our November DRCA meeting. They are one of our biggest supporters and we all look forward to riding to the top of Mount Jacinto! Thank you to Rachel  Anderson-Public Relations and Executive Chef John for Fritch hosting a spectacular evening for us! Their holiday menus are out and it is not to be missed this year. Great prices and great events!

Our first meeting of the new season was held at the Children’s Discovery Museum in Rancho Mirage. We had our social time, presenters and then toured the newly remastered wing. It was great fun!Thank you to Cindy Burreson-CEO CDMD for hosting the DRCA for our kickoff meeting! Presenters featured were Deja Kreutzberg-El Paseo Shops, Tommy Donohue-Architecture Tours by Modernism Week, David Uziel-Urban Worldwide Transportation and Randall Simpson-Desert Stewards.

Our DRCA Concierge May meeting took place at Frank’s Hideout in Palm Desert. This semi-private venue offers live entertainment, fun events, and can be found on their website. It is ideal for private parties or enjoying good music. Food and a full bar are available. We thank Joe Tufaro, GM of Frank’s Hideout, for hosting our May meeting. Afterwards, we visited the nearby Red Barn. Lost Creek Canyon Ranch, situated in the picturesque White Water area, embodies the spirit of a classic western film. Our Concierge association was delighted to participate in a comprehensive tour of the ranch, hosted by owners Mike and Linda Rifkin. The tour showcased the property's varied attractions, including fruit trees, avocado trees, horses, goats, chickens, pigs, hiking trails, and historic structures including a bo****lo which once served as a rest stop for stagecoach transport. Interestingly, some of these structures were constructed in the 1800s, and the ranch was also the site of a former mining camp. The ranch is open to the public for tours, which we highly recommend for their educational and entertaining value. www.lostcreekcanyonranch.com
