🇺🇸 We’re honored to once again serve as the host site for the 13th Annual Operation Firm Handshake’s Annual Veterans Picnic!

We’re proud to open our grounds for this incredible community tradition that celebrates the men and women who have served our country.

All Illinois veterans, active-duty service members, and their families are invited to enjoy a day of great food, entertainment, games, prizes, and fellowship.

❤️ Happy National Lifeguard Appreciation Day to our incredible 2026 CCAC Lifeguards & Supervisors! ❤️

Behind every great beach day is a team dedicated to keeping our members safe.

This summer, our lifeguards…

🏊‍♀️ Taught 80+ swim lesson participants, helping young swimmers build confidence in the water and earn a spot on our swim lesson handprint wall.

☀️ Welcomed 200+ members on our busiest beach day, with 100–150 members enjoying the beach each day during peak summer weeks.

🛟 Served members 7 days a week from Memorial Day through Labor Day, dedicating more than 5,000 hours to keeping our beach safe, fun, and welcoming.

🏖️ Helped make Opening Day, Memorial Day Weekend, Fourth of July, Swim Lessons, the Sandcastle Competition, and Night Swim safe, successful, and memorable for our members.

And behind the scenes?

❤️ It was countless popsicles, Band-Aids, smiles, and high-dives.

☀️ It was daily swim tests, water quality checks, sunscreen reminders, and whistles blown.

🏖️ It was hundreds of tricks off the diving boards, questions answered, friendships built, and kids who couldn’t wait to run over and see their favorite guards each day.

🛟 And when it mattered most, they were always ready to respond.

To Tessa, Gavin, Addyson, Aubrey, and our entire 2026 lifeguard team—thank you for your dedication, professionalism, teamwork, and the care you show our members every single day.

Because of you, families can relax, kids gain confidence, and lifelong summer memories are made at the CCAC.
