Chewy Peanut Butter Oatmeal Treats 🍪🌾 :

Savor the chewy texture and delightful peanut butter flavor in these oatmeal treats. Perfectly sweet and satisfying, they make a fantastic snack or dessert that will please both kids and adults alike.

Ingredients:

1 cup old fashioned oats
1/2 cup softened butter
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 large egg
1/3 cup sugar for rolling
1 cup peanut butter
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup brown sugar
1 1/4 cup all purpose flour

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375°F.

Add butter, peanut butter and brown sugar to bowl and stir to combine.

Next, add eggs and vanilla, mixing until combined.

Add flour, oats and baking soda, mix well.

Pour 1/4 cup sugar to a small bowl.

Use a cookie scoop to form 1 1/4 inch dough balls.

Roll in sugar and place 2 inches apart on a greased or lined baking sheet.

Mash cookies with a fork crosswise.

Bake for 10-12 minutes or just until edges are lightly browned.

Cool cookies on a wire rack.

Store cooled cookies in an airtight container up to 5 days.

June is fast approaching, and the flowers, birds, and trees all in their splendor. The rain, as annoying it can be, has certainly been good for some things. Just down the road from us you can find the most delicious strawberries, and they should still be available for about a week.
