Our first ducklings of the season have hatched!
And also, our first duckling loss… I had our dogs in a different area for a while, and a weasel took the opportunity to get a duckling.
The last picture is gruesome, but it’s what weasels do. They just eat the flesh on the heads, and the brain. We’ve got Hashish Kebab and Chicharron back in position now, and haven’t had any losses since.

Chicha & Hashish’s puppies are here! Eight healthy, rapidly growing pups. Four boys, four girls. Mama Chicha is doing an amazing job feeding, cleaning and caring for them. We’ll be raising and training them at the farm for 12 weeks, then they’ll need good homes. Do put us in touch with anyone who needs a purebred Maremma LGD on their farm or homestead!

I am over the moon that has PAWPAW danishes this weekend! :)
