We're grandparents! Meet Matilda Ruth Barton. Born 11/16/22 at 8:45pm to our son Christopher and his wife, Devin. She was 6lbs 1oz and 18" long. Mom and baby are doing great and she comes home today! Potential future resort owner? One never knows.

Recently I was at the Liberate Minnesota protest in St. Paul and was interviewed by Breitbart.com. I spoke about how the governor's policies are destroying the economy of northern Minnesota and that my and hundreds of other resorts as well as many of the other tourism related businesses are in very real danger of closing this year if we are not open for business by fishing opener. For many of us it's not just about losing our businesses and life savings. It's about losing our homes and having NOTHING left. I have been receiving vile emails and Facebook messages as well as negative Facebook reviews from people who have never stayed here nor ever would have all because I spoke out in an effort to save my home. If you support the resort industry the time is now to contact the Governor and demand that the economy be reopened. We can adjust our operations so that we can operate safely and avoid the economic devastation that is occurring throughout our state. This doesn't need to be an either/or proposition.
