{๐ก๐ž๐ฅ๐ฅ๐จ. ๐ฌ๐ช๐ฎ๐ข๐ซ๐ซ๐ž๐ฅ. ๐ฌ๐ฉ๐ซ๐ข๐ง๐ } iโ€™ve neglected posting on the squirrel page since forever, not because there hasnโ€™t been any lovely news, just that life gets busy and the inn is running smoothly having amazing guests from all over come stay and find out little town of Coldwater, Kansas! no big sign to greet you anymore, it was suppose to last through our Kansas weather, but iโ€™ll figure something out next timeโ€ฆ until then, iโ€™m re-loving my little vintage lettering on the window and will have a QR code on there too to just โ€œscan and bookโ€ as well.. you can screenshot that photo as well for future bookings with ease. the squirrel cabinets continue to be filled with more curiosities and have found โ€œextrasโ€ from past guests that make me smile when iโ€™m there cleaning .. speaking of extras, finding little things after guests leave is also an adventure! unsure how long a older cell phone had been deeply lodged into the vintage couch.. still havenโ€™t found that owner, but everything else has made it back to its squirrel guests! my squirrel โ€œnotebookโ€ is almost full with love notes and will begin a new one shortly from my friends and who creates and supplies their shopโ€ฆ thank you for loving the inn and enjoying meals at our local restaurants and exploring our area. you are seeing why we fell in love with the people and the kindness of rural Kansas.

{๐ก๐ž๐ฅ๐ฅ๐จ. ๐Ÿ๐š๐ฅ๐ฅ} my sweet long term guest has moved on, our little squirrel inn has been deep cleaned, updated with a few abundance of squirrels , amenities, updates and more for the upcoming hunting and holiday season in our little slice of heaven we call coldwater kansas. working on a qr code for the front door so you can book directly walking by or itโ€™s now in our ad in the high school sports program all year to make it easier to book, or just save the third photo as well. or just old school it and call me or messenger me. ๐Ÿ˜‚. the crunchy back road detour is here for another {how many ? } months but itโ€™s not stopping most people from still exploring our areaโ€ฆ i finally painted my pathetic green trees โ€œblackโ€ who knew โ€œsuper cheap fakeโ€ trees could look so good? now if we could just hang a good few skellies from the roof without scaring the guests or launching them, it would be perfectโ€ฆ

{๐ ๐ซ๐š๐ญ๐ž๐Ÿ๐ฎ๐ฅ} who would of guessed that we would have been so lucky to have found such an incredible community to be a part of over 7 years ago. five full time, almost three with our little squirrel inn. weโ€™ve had guests all over the world find our little community of Coldwater, Kansas and enjoy the small town charm and hospitality that we fell in love with all those years ago. we had a request for a young guy that was struggling to find a place to stay for a chance at a local internship for the summer and we didnโ€™t want to turn him away, knowing this opportunity would be a pivotal change in his life and career, so we offered to rent him the inn for the summer. so if you are needing a great place to stay in our sweet town of Coldwater, my buddy Roy, has โ€œThe Hoffman Cabinโ€ available, or Leslieโ€™s โ€œLariat Houseโ€ to book, or 23 miles out of town is a sweet house by Mikaela โ€œThe Prairie Roostโ€ all found on airbnb until we are available in the fall. we are all in this thing called life together, helping each other succeed. i wouldnโ€™t have it any other way. if you see a young โ€œnew guyโ€ in town, welcome himโ€ฆ heโ€™s pretty amazing.

{๐ฌ๐ช๐ฎ๐ข๐ซ๐ซ๐ž๐ฅ. ๐š๐ซ๐ญ} it never gets old coming in to the inn after a guest has left to find sweet art and notes on our vintage chalkboard that was original to the local grade school. iโ€™m reminded often how grateful we are to be a part of this community and this inn was never in the original โ€œlifeโ€ plan. i believe life works out the way itโ€™s suppose toโ€ฆ
