It was such a great morning getting to chat with paddlers, share some treats, and honor our friend we surely miss. ♥️

Thanks to everyone who stopped and to all who participated in making this event so great! We can’t wait to do it again next year! 😊

🛶 As Paddle Around Rose approaches this coming weekend, we take a moment to slow down. To reflect on the peacefulness of the event. No engines, no wake, just a person or group of people paddling across calm waters. Three things are happening at the same time. 1. The participants are outside, enjoying the nature we are blessed with at the lake. 2. The dock volunteers are out there engaging with fellow neighbors, joyfully bringing us together. 3. Raising funds for our lake health, as part of our association.

Behind everything that happens, is a person or group of people, that make it happen. For this event, it was Cassie Ohlrich. She had a vision and put it into fruition. Paddle Around Rose encompasses everything Cassie loved. Nature, neighbors, family, friends, and purpose. Sadly, earlier this year, Cassie passed away. She was an amazing person. Whether you knew her or not, your lake life has her fingerprints on it. She was in charge of the lake activities, including Paddle Around Rose. Along with her brother, Jace Cole, they have improved our lake engagement over the last 5 years- bringing us together.

Our design for the shirts this year honor her for her contributions to Rose Lake. Her initials are on the paddles, her and her husband’s silhouette is in the year, and her presence is with the Paddle Around Rose event. Our deepest condolences to Cassie's family and friends. Fourth of July at Green Acres Campground! 🇺🇸
Thank you for all those who came to celebrate with us!
We kicked off the weekend with a Bike parade on Friday, Tara Renee Music playing Saturday, and a great time with all our campers the whole weekend!
We would not have celebrated any other way. We appreciate every single one of you!

New this year! We are combining our Rose Lake Spring Kick Off with our Annual meeting. Come out to Bent Prop Pub Saturday, May 18th to socialize with your lake neighbors, buy a raffle ticket for some Rose Lake Merchandise and check out the clothing sale.
