This Delphinium did not get the memo that today’s date is December 31, 2025 and currently 37 degrees outside. It’s a reminder of what future holds. There is always hope and beauty if you look for it. 2025, I kiss you goodbye and put a period on you! This year has been what I’ve coined a “lifey” year. A year full of life experiences that all humans experience…just feels a bit more concentrated than other years for me. It has been year of loss, pain - both physical and emotional, along with new beautiful lives born. In midst of it all there has been much joy and beauty. So 2025…as we draw near to the end, thank you! I am grateful for lessons learned and the beauty you’ve offered midst the hard. I look forward to 2026 with much wonder and awe.

The Potting Shed is feeling grateful and somewhat nostalgic! November is The Potting Sheds birthday month. We opened and hosted our very first guest November 2, 2007, and have been hosting guests from all over the world ever since. As I was getting the guesthouse ready for the holidays, I went back through our guest book and read many of the comments, from you, guests that have stayed with us over the years. It was such a joy to read them and think about you! Thank you for choosing to stay with us, it's a joy to serve and host. Without you, there wouldn't have been 18 amazing years. In honor of our birthday month, we decided to offer an 18% discount on two-night minimum stays (or more) for the months of December-February.
