trouble finding a suitable site, I don't think there is an undesirable spot on the whole grounds. We love to have a grassy area and trees around us. We don't care for the RV parks that just look like a big parking lot... this is much more family friendly and truly an attractive "camp" ground. It's a short drive from our home but we feel like we're in a whole other world. It's peaceful and feels like the country without being far from actual civilization. There is a full service grocery store only 10 minutes away! Yet we are never bothered by the sounds/sites of traffic. We haven't used it but there is a large pavilion and gathering area that can easily accommodate a family reunion or other group get-togethers too. The May Natural History Museum is at the Welcome Center for the Campgrounds. The owners are incredibly friendly and attentive but never intrusive.
