💚 A little August trivia for our canyon crew 🌺

Birthstone: Peridot — symbolizing dignity, fame, and prosperity. It's been worn for centuries to attract peace, success, and good fortune. Hawaiians believe the peridot found in volcanic ash is the tears of the volcano goddess, Pele. 🌋

Birth flowers: Gladiolus & Poppy — representing strength of character, honesty, generosity, and moral integrity. 🌸

Not a bad description of the people around here, honestly.

💛 A few small things that keep Reche Canyon a great place to live:

🔉 Quiet hours are 10 PM – 8 AM. Please be mindful of TV and music volume at all times.

🚗 Guests need a parking pass. Stop by the office or call us with your visitor's vehicle info. Please don't use visitor spaces without checking with us first.

🐾 Pick up after your dog, keep them leashed outside, and don't leave them unattended.

🛋️ Bulky items don't go in or next to the dumpsters. CR&R will pick them up from your space for FREE — call (909) 370-3377.

🔨 Making changes to your home? You'll need an HCD permit and an approved plot plan from our office. Come see us first.

🍎 BACK TO SCHOOL ✏️

Wishing all our Reche Canyon students a fantastic year ahead — new backpacks, new teachers, new everything. 🎒

A quick ask for our drivers: please take it slow through the park in the mornings and afternoons. There are a lot more kids out and about now.

🌡️ It's the hottest stretch of the year in the canyon. Please take care of yourselves.

Prevention: 💧 Drink more water than you think you need 🧴 Sunscreen and a hat 🚿 Cool shower or a cold compress 🌳 Take breaks in the shade 🌀 Keep a fan going

Warning signs: heavy sweating, dizziness, red skin, nausea.

Call for medical help right away if someone is vomiting, fainting, or confused.

Check on your neighbors — especially the older ones — and keep pets inside during the worst of the afternoon. ❤️
