There’s just something magical about Fall at The Velvet Farmhouse and we are ready to share it with you! I love offering a beautiful space for pics for our community but also need to share some important things to remember……

This IS for our community and we don’t want anyone having to wait for a paid session to be completed. Please be courteous!

We don’t mind you moving a few things around but please put them back in place where you found them(we kind of like them there😉).

Please do NOT allow your children to climb on the hay bales on the hay trailer for pics or any other reason. If you would like to take a pic of them on the end of the trailer feel free.

We are also a functioning business and have furniture rentals that are going out and coming in at different times that may briefly hold up your picture taking.

If you would like to make a donation for using our display we would love to bless a family(s) in need this Christmas and will have a donation box in KC's Produce Inc next door.

One more thing..those sweet granddaughters in the pics,Lakelyn and Charley, they have my heart!🧡

Thank you to my sweet friend Tracy Kurtz for always helping bring my vision to life. You did an incredible job with the florals this year!

So sorry to say that due to the weather last night we have had to close down our porch.
Our plans were to leave it up until after the New Year but the wind did too much damage.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful pictures,your loved one’s names on our tree and the prayers that were felt through this Holy season.

So..I have had a theme ready for Christmas this year for a while. I have tried to find some Christmas cheer within myself to start decorating the porch. I woke up on Wednesday morning and thought..I don’t want to do this.It’s just not in me.I talked it over with my sweet supportive husband who assured me that it was okay,that I didn’t have to decorate this year. 2020 has been hard. It started in January with one of my children very sick and in the hospital again. In March we all faced this pandemic that affected so many financially and faced a virus that we were not familiar with. In August I lost my Grandma unexpectedly and in October I lost my Daddy,so much heartbreak and pain. On Wednesday mid morning after talking with a friend who encouraged and inspired me the Holy Spirit dropped something right in me.I decided to decorate but not the theme that I had originally planned. I wanted a porch that you could sit and pray if you wanted.I wanted a porch where you would feel His peace and presence. Maybe you have lost a family member or friend this year. Maybe you lost someone many years ago. Please come write their name on an ornament(that we have provided)and hang it on our tree. Hold your family tight and let them know how much they mean to you.Praying you have a very blessed Christmas! Angie
