Hello everyone! It’s been a minute since we have introduced ourselves as the hosts, builders, dreamers, entrepreneurs and owners of Montana Treehouse Retreat.

We are Kati O’Toole and Darin Robison- the Robison family. We have been building and dreaming this treehouse utopia here in Columbia Falls, MT for the last decade or so!

We are heading into our busy season and are so grateful that we are fully booked for this summer season! A welcomed change after an unpredictable winter with the lack of snow here in MT.

You may recognize our boys Rowan and Ry from their various activities. Rowan has grown over a foot since this shoot and is an amazing athlete in the Flathead Valley and Ry is an amazing mind and creative kid. We try to give back to our local community by coaching (Kati with xc skiing this year and Darin in coaching the Stumptown Ballers youth basketball league with some other amazing parents and Whitefish All Stars baseball).

Exciting Announcement!!!! We are going to be hosting our first concert at Montana Treehouse on September 19th! There will only be 100 tickets available and they will go fast. We are excited to finally open up our property to the community and host live music in the woods.

About the show:
Local musicians Tin Finley host internationally acclaimed touring artist, Laura Gibson, premiering at Montana Treehouse Retreat’s inaugural outdoor concert. Bringing the same attention to artistry as the treehouses themselves, this intimate 100 seat venue creates a brand new space to be among the trees. Laura Gibson, a singer and songwriter hailing from Oregon, is described as “ Both literary and raw, with a love of traditional folk music and a bent toward experimentation, Gibson has toured four continents and had the distinct honor of performing the very first NPR Tiny Desk Concert. “

With her intimate, haunting voice and weaving of poetic words over melodies drawn from the baroque as well as the modern, this performance promises to be a welcoming to the woods.

I am going to start sharing some of the beautiful photos our past guests have shared from their special moments at Montana Treehouse Retreat! We have hosted elopements in the past but now we are extending our scope to include weddings and receptions- up to 100 guests. We should be ready this fall to take some weddings! We have big plans to make this a unique and magical place for your wedding day.

Darin is already to work dreaming up his bold designs and I am right by his side holding the other side of the board, shovel or pen. Can’t wait for this new venture! A little bit of Montana magic to share of my new friend singing his heart out at for our impromptu North Fork locals unplugged open mic for Dan and Flannery and friends. Andy flew in all the way from Liverpool to participate in my first ever songwriting retreat with . Thanks for being the sweetest audience. It was so special.

I have so much more to share of this past few days working with songwriters and at my first ever songwriting retreat here in the property. It has been so fun and rewarding/ can’t wait to share more! Here we are at the beautiful Lake McDonald in . It’s not every day I get to see where I live through the eyes of a guest and it’s pretty fun to witness. We do take it for granted that this is in our backyard. What beauty exists right here, right now.

We are SO EXCITED to announce that we have just received our Recreational Facility Permit from the Flathead County Board of Adjustment to do WEDDINGS at Montana Treehouse Retreat! More details to follow as we get organized and start launching this next phase of our business off the ground. We have been asked so many times from our guests if they could have weddings and now we say YES! More details to follow, but so excited for this!!!

Stopped in my frigid icy tracks as I was running back to turn on the lights for our guests. I noticed the sliver moon shining perfectly above The Beverly Boat. What a site! Is this real life? It sure is. This is not AI.
