Come discover hidden gems like Pocosin Arts School of Fine Craft and the Red Wolf Education Center, browse Inner Banks Mercantile , or just settle into our tiny riverfront town of Columbia, NC for a quiet weekend away.

Look closely as you move through our first floor.

You'll notice artwork tucked into corners of our common spaces β€” paintings on the walls, sculptural pieces on the mantle, small details you might miss if you're not paying attention.

We love giving their work a home at Blue Juniper Inn, and the collection rotates as we welcome new pieces in. So even if you've stayed with us before, there's always something new to notice.

Come see what's on display this season β€” and ask us about the artists behind it. We love telling their stories.

It's a 45-minute drive from Columbia to the Hatteras Seashore β€” just far enough to be worth it, close enough to make it a habit.

John walks the beach from Jeannette's Pier south and back, a ten-mile round trip that leaves him tired, sweaty, and strangely calm by the time he's crossing the bridges home into the setting sun. It's on that drive that Jericho Brown's poem "Crossing" comes to mind β€” especially the line:

"I'm not crossing to cross back. I'm set on something vast." That's the Inner Banks for us: a place with room enough to slow down and ask what you're really setting your sights on.
