With more than three decades of hospitality experience, Rick brings a passion for service, leadership, and creating memorable guest experiences. As General Manager, he's played a key role in shaping the culture, team, and vision of Lantern Hotel Columbia from the ground up.
His dedication to hospitality and commitment to creating meaningful connections help make Lantern more than just a place to stay. We're grateful for all he brings to our team and community.

Congratulations to all of this year’s graduates! 🎓 We are especially proud to look back on a wonderful night celebrating the LIFE seniors who are part of the Lantern Hotel team.
At this year’s graduation ceremony, these students also earned the American Hotel & Lodging Association’s Guest Service Gold certification — an industry-recognized credential made possible through a Statler Grant written by Dr. Marketa Kubickova, faculty member in the College of HRSM at the University of South Carolina. This grant, and her collaboration with CarolinaLIFE, allowed students from the program who work at the Lantern the opportunity to achieve this credential prior to graduation.
We are grateful to be part of partnerships that create valuable opportunities for students to grow personally and professionally. Congratulations to these incredible graduates — we are excited to see all of the great things ahead for them and for this partnership in the future! 💛
