Our summer season has officially come to a close. After 10 weeks of excitement, joy, lack of sleep, and laughter, we are officially saying goodbye to our summer staff of 2026. We are so thankful to them for the summer we have shared together! We are so sad to see them go, but all of them have exciting adventures waiting for them this fall! Without this staff, the summer wouldn’t happen. Thank you to the international staff, and the host families that made their stay here possible. We hope to see everyone again next year so we can do it again!

Happy Camp Counselor Appreciation!!

Without our dedicated staff we wouldn’t be able to keep camp running and make it as fun and memorable as it is for 8 whole weeks! We acknowledge that it is hard work, long hours, late nights, and the same meals over and over for them. We don’t take it lightly! And we are also so thankful that they chose this camp. Here we’ve also built community, created relationships that will last a lifetime, and learned new skills! Drop an encouraging note or a wonderful memory you’ve had with our staff in the comments!

HopeWood Shores welcomed the fourth week of family camp with a diverse range of ages. It was a great week of family bonding, friend-making, costume-wearing, and a little bit of healthy competition. Thank you so much to Corey Wagonfield for leading worship and creating a welcoming space for growing faith. HopeWood Shores welcomed the first week of family camp with a diverse range of ages. It was a great week of family bonding, friend-making, and a little bit of healthy competition. Camper alert! Whipped cream is flying around camp this year! For this Summer Challenge we are letting you, YES YOU, deliver pies to staff and volunteers...on their faces! When you come to camp, Executive Director Drew Tucker will introduce the challenge on Tuesday evening during his chat session with parents. But basically, it works like this:
If the week raises $1000, The Shores Director gets pied on Friday! $3,000 sees him and two others get pied, $10,000 sees ten people and $20,000 see twenty people!
There are also end of summer incentives where you can watch ALL of staff pie the director, executive director, development coordinator and more!
All proceeds will go towards the Growing Hope Capital Campaign!

And of course we are so excited for all of our adult leaders who are joining us for the summer! Thank you for all of you...
