RV PARK ADDS MUSEUM

CONVENT, LA - The St. James Parish River Road Museum is has re-opened following the building and land acquisition by Poche Plantation's owners from the Jimmy Bourgeois heirs. The museum showcases a diverse array of artifacts acquired through various means, including donations and items on loan. Visitors can explore the museum Wednesday through Saturday, 12pm-2pm and 5pm-7pm. Tickets are sold at the Poche General Store, Pit Stop Bar & Casino, or The Crevasse Restaurant. Admission is free for St. James Parish residents and guests of Poche Plantation. Non-residents can enjoy a comprehensive guided tour, including the mansion, museum, and church for $25, or visit the museum only for $10.
