Explore the night. Protect what makes it magical.

Join us for Clarion GloWild, an evening dedicated to discovering the incredible world that comes alive after dark. From glowing fireflies to nocturnal wildlife, this family-friendly event celebrates the natural wonders that make Clarion County such a special place to explore.

As eco-tourism continues to grow, events like Clarion GloWild remind us that responsible travel and environmental stewardship go hand in hand. By learning about local ecosystems and the creatures that call them home, we can all play a role in preserving these experiences for future generations.

Come experience the wonder of the night, connect with nature, and discover why Clarion County is a Trailhead to Happiness for eco-conscious adventurers.

Activities include a Trail & Habitat Discovery Walk, Pollinator Conservation Experience, Book Signing with Tory Mather, Firefly Discovery Expedition, Creatures of the Night Adventure, & the Dark Sky Explorer station!

Love looking at the sky in Cook Forest.

I’ll sky-watch on any clear night of the year, but in my book, there’s nothing like stargazing in the northern hemisphere’s summer—especially in 2026. The next few months are packed with interstellar action: not one but two eclipses, extended hours with the Milky Way core, and near-perfect conditions for the prolific Perseid meteor shower.
