Whisperin' Pines Chalet

Whisperin' Pines Chalet Joyce and Gus Doucas first guests stay at Whisperin' Pines bed and breakfast. When Joyce and Gus sold the trailer park in 1980 they moved to Cooperstown.

In 1974 Joyce and Gus had bought a small hunting cabin that had belonged to part of their family (the Cryans) just outside of Cooperstown, NY. At the time Joyce and Gus owned and operated Whisperin' Pines travel trailer park in Marathon, Florida. Joyce and Gus would bring their children Noel, Nicole and Christain to the cabin in the winter so they could see snow. They then had the second and third

stories added to the small cabin. Then they missed all the people that had surrounded them in Keys. The obvious solution was to become a bed and breakfast and invite the world in to enjoy their hospitality.
